My mum was very kind and loving. Valued being with her family and supported us all. My mum loved special occasions such as birthdays, Easter and Christmas. Sitting around the table, sharing food and talking. 

My mum loved being outdoors. Having a love of gardening, which has rubbed off on me. Roses was her favourite plant.

When mum was in the care home. At first she found this difficult. A lovely carer called Anne sang to her 'you are my sunshine'. Mum responded to this and sang back to her. They realised she loved music and singing. They would take her to any singing activities, including church. Church would come into the care home once a month.
